National Breakfast and Lunch Program Changes

Many families will see changes in school meals this fall. We recently mailed out a breakfast and lunch meal application to every parent of enrolled students. Schools had some flexibilities during COVID-19 so they could serve all kids free meals. Some of those options expired, so many schools cannot serve all meals free anymore. Instead, families will do what they did before COVID-19. Schools will take applications and use family income to qualify kids for free, reduce-price, or paid meals.

Please see below for more information.

COVID-19 Update - November 1, 2021

Greetings,

Salome Elementary School would like to thank all of our staff, students, and parents for helping to keep our schools a safe place for learning despite the challenges created by the community spread of COVID-19. As we continue to take steps that cautiously and slowly move us back toward our regular routines, there continues to be spread of the COVID-19 virus in our state, county and community. We wanted to share a few practices that we hope will help keep everyone safe and slow the spread of COVID-19.

Please read the remainder of the November 1, 2021 parent letter in its entirety.
