November SNAP Benefits

Good afternoon parents,

As you may have heard, the Department of Economic Security (DES) has shared that November SNAP benefits will not be issued until federal funding is released to the states. We recognize this may create hardship for many of the families we collectively serve, and it’s important that we work together to ensure families are connected to available supports during these uncertain times.

Below are the links to our Subregional Early Childhood Resource Guides:

Additionally, we encourage families who may be impacted to apply for or continue participation in WIC. WIC offices remain open and continue to serve and enroll families, ensuring access to nutrition and support for women, infants, and young children.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions.

Doodle for Google

We are happy to announce that Doodle for Google is returning for its seventeenth year this October! If you aren't familiar, Doodle for Google is an annual contest where students in grades kindergarten through twelve express their creativity by drawing their very own Google Doodle in response to a theme. Prizes will be awarded to Doodle finalists and include scholarship money, a feature on Google's homepage, and more! View the Doodle for Google flyer for details.

School Cell Phone Policy

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I am writing to remind all families of our school’s policy regarding student cell phones. Students are not permitted to bring or use cell phones during the school day. We have noticed an increase in students using their phones to contact parents directly to make changes to pickup or drop-off arrangements. This has led to miscommunication and confusion in the front office, as staff may not be aware of these changes or able to confirm them.

To ensure the safety and clear communication of all students, any changes to pickup or drop-off plans must go through the school office. If a student needs to contact you during the day, they may do so using the office phone with permission from a teacher or staff member.

We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a safe and well-organized system. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you,
Ms. Walton
